Dear Client,

As you are aware the COVID-19 outbreak is an unprecedented situation. After careful consideration and taking into account the government guidance I have taken the difficult decision to cancel all open courses prior to the 1st June to protect my staff and our clients. I feel this is the right decision to make and I will liaise with clients who have in-house courses booked on a case-by-case basis.

There is a meeting scheduled for Friday 20 March 2020 of the First Aid Awarding organisations and the HSE who will be giving guidance on what we are to be doing and I anticipate them recommending a halt to all face-to-face training, so I do not want to keep anyone hanging on for things booked prior to Easter to enable you to plan.

We will keep monitoring the advice from the government and will re-start both open and in-house courses as soon as we are advised to.

What we will be doing is:

  • Creating video with updates on CPR adjustments in the light of COVID-19, as recommended by the Resuscitation Council (UK). Do follow our company page on either LinkedIn or Facebook to ensure that you receive these via social media
  • Working with the Awarding Organisations to see what distance learning may be permitted to achieve a first aid qualification (currently there must be practical assessment and face-to-face teaching)
  • Following on from the above we will be seeing if we can create any distance learning first aid training that can be certificated for any clients who have an urgent need to gain a certificate
  • Helen is available by phone (07971 298 265 / 0845 650 5660) or email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for any first aid related queries.
  • We will be setting our open course dates for the academic year 2020-2021 as we hope by September at the latest for it to be business as usual. These dates will be published on our website shortly. If you want to plan ahead, please feel free to get in touch to do so.
  • We are in the process of transferring our email newsletters onto Mailchimp. If you do not already receive these newsletters but would like to please let us know. We will be communicating any updates through this media and also through LinkedIn and Facebook.

What this means for you:

  • If you have made a booking for training prior to the 1st May, we will move you forward onto a course date of your choice
  • If you have not yet been invoiced for your training course, we will not invoice you until your course is confirmed to be going ahead
  • If you have already been invoiced:

– do not pay if you have not yet done so and we will move your invoice forward in our accounts system to the next financial year

 - if you have already paid, if you are a larger business and are able to allow us to move your course booking, we would be most grateful. If you are a smaller business or sole trader and would prefer a refund, please email us with your account details plus details of when you made the BACS transfer to us. Refunds will be dealt with this month prior to year-end.

  • Allow us to keep you as up to date on the current situation as is possible by connecting with us on Social Media

For any clients who currently have booked training with us, thank you for bearing with us we will give you priority on booking onto future courses as soon as we are able to run them.

For all of our clients do remember the government advice regarding effective hand washing as this along with common sense and social distancing is massive in the prevention of spreading coronavirus. Remember also not to touch your face with your hands when you are out in public places such as supermarkets until you have arrived home and washed your hands again! Stay safe.

Thank you for bearing with us at such unusual times.

Kind regards,

Helen Underwood

Director
